Trudy Fraser
Trudy has always been a natural organizer and multitasker. Born in the Ottawa Valley, she carries the hardworking spirit and independent nature of her farming, Scottish heritage—qualities that have shaped her journey as a business owner.

After a successful career in advertising in Toronto, a major illness led to significant life changes, including a move to the Kitchener-Waterloo area. While searching for her next challenge, Trudy began working in transition services and move management for seniors with dementia at a small company in London.

During this time, she discovered her true passion—helping seniors and their families with not just moving, but also organizing, downsizing, and preparing homes for sale. With her new life partner being in real estate, she expanded her services closer to home, assisting both seniors and non-seniors, and ultimately founded Tartan Spaces.

Trudy is based in North Cambridge, near Hespeler, with quick access to Highway 401—allowing her to easily serve clients throughout the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas.

What Trudy says about Kathy

I met Kathy a few years ago while clearing out her neighbor’s home after they had recently passed. Kathy was protective and wanted to ensure her neighbor’s belongings were treated with respect—translation: she kind of scared me!

We had many conversations about the process, and as they say, one thing led to another, and Kathy started working with me. I trained her (though she didn’t need much of that), and I was so relieved to find a kindred spirit who shares my passion for seniors, has an incredible work ethic, and embodies a true sense of fairness.

Over the next year, we became fast friends, and now she is one of my trusted tribe. We’ve celebrated joys, mourned losses, shared tears, and laughed together. I feel truly blessed to know her, and I’m so glad we’re working together again

What Kathy says about Trudy

It's incredible how a simple meeting can spark a profound shift in both life and career.
When I met Trudy, I had not heard of Transitional Services or Move Management for seniors. Her caring nature, strong work ethic, and no nonsense communication left a lasting impression on me. AND she was looking for someone to train as a backup—it felt like the stars had aligned.

Trudy is a perfectionist that always puts the client first, her team second and herself last. No matter how busy it gets she is happy to explain the thinking behind the processes and loves to hear suggestions how things can be done better. I’ve learned so much from her. She is, without a doubt, the fastest and best closet organizer I have ever seen!

We’ve worked on some incredible and challenging projects together but no matter how difficult we always manage to have a great time. Trudy loves to laugh.

We have built not just a strong professional bond but also a deep personal connection, rooted in our shared passion for doing what we believe is right and taking care of people who need it most.
